Blackfriars Theatre is a mid-sized professional theatre that has entertained audiences for 75 years in downtown Rochester, New York. Our mission is to enrich, entertain and inspire our community through exceptional theatrical arts while engaging local talent.

Directions & Parking
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
FROM THE EAST: 490 W to Goodman Street exit. Right onto S. Goodman until it ends at E. Main Street. Left onto E. Main and Blackfriars will be on your left.
FROM THE WEST: 490 E to the Inner Loop / Plymouth Ave. exit (left hand exit). Inner Loop ends at University Ave exit. Left onto E. Main at University exit and Blackfriars will be on your right.
PARKING: Free parking in our own parking lot surrounding the theatre. Free street parking directly in front of the theatre and along the side streets (Prince & Alexander).

LOCATION: Blackfriars Theatre is located at 795 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 14605. We are right next door to Jim's Restaurant, on the corner of Alexander Street and East Main Street.
HOURS: Our Box Office hours are 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and one hour prior to curtain times. The Box Office phone number is (585) 454-1260.
VISITING: Our small staff is often pulled away for off-site meetings during business hours. Please call or email to get in touch with us. For your convenience, please call the box office prior to visiting in person.

Blackfriars Theatre is currently in it's 70th Season! We have been located at our E. Main Street theatre since 2009. Previously, Blackfriars has been located at Christ Church on Lawn Street, School of the Arts and Xerox Auditorium.
