It's time to start Set Construction for Blackfriars Theatre next show GREAT
EXPECTATIONS. Work days are on Fridays and Saturdays, first in the scene shop
then in the theatre after the current play closes. If you have some time please
think about coming to help. We could really use your help. No experience is
necessary.
The set construction/work dates and times are:
Friday, December 10th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Scene Shop
Saturday, December 11th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Scene Shop
Friday, December 17th 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Scene Shop
Saturday, December 18thfrom 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Scene Shop
(note: no work days during the holidays)
Friday, January 7th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, January 8th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Theatre
Friday, January 14th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, January 15th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Theatre
Friday, January 21st from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, January 22nd from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Theatre
Friday, January 28th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, January 29th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Theatre
Friday, February 4th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, February 5th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Theatre
Friday, February 11th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Theatre
Saturday, February 12th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Theatre
All Work is done at the theatre at 28 Lawn Street. (Behind Christ Church on East Ave. at
Broadway - if we are working in the scene shop and you can see us through the window, just
bang on the street level windows and we will come up and let you in. If you can't
see us in the scene shop, then we are working in the theatre. Go to the back
door, ring the bell and wait until someone comes to let you in.
Additional behind the scenes help is always needed for deck hands, props, wardrobe, dressers, light board operators, sound board operators, follow spot operators, etc. Please e-mail volunteer@blackfriars.org if you would like to help with these or other pre-production and production activities. The production commitment is for the entire run of the show and every night of tech rehearsals the week before opening night.
